Thrust into the role of hero at twenty-seven, Kagetake Okeya stepped valiantly up to the platter. The grandson of one of the most fierce warriors of the Malaguld, he had a long history beforehand of serving as a protector, a role he plays to the hilt in defense of Hydaelyn and her people.In the time since, he has played a part in the liberation of Doma and Gyr Abania and battling the light on the First, along the way adopting an elderly ex-pirate lalafell, connecting with his Raen family, making the well-being of Fordola rem Lupis his concern, and killing a dark reflection of himself.Fairly known for getting around, he is nonetheless extremely devoted in his relationship with his fiance, Skyard, and to adopted children, Halric, Qeshi-Fae, and Chora-Fae.Equally competent with shield and massive axe alike, Kagetake's other skills include cooking, carpentry, and botany, and he bears a fondness for wasting time in front of The Moogle's Paw, something that's likely to only increase now that he has kids.

Appearance
Towering over most people at 7'1", Kagetake cuts an imposing figure, broad of shoulder and thick of bicep. His face is surprisingly scar-free for someone whose life's duty is getting hit by things, and while solemn at a glance, he is quick to flash a genuine, welcoming smile, and practically radiates an aura of being a safe harbour. Blue tongue and gums speak to the Raen part of his heritage as much as his name does.After the events of Endwalker, his scales took on an iridescent blue hue.He is normally found in relatively simple garb, often in shades of blue and black, although sometimes, reportedly, he looks like he "just walked out of a romance novel".

  • Given Kage's immense amount of connection to canon characters, I'm 100% cool with people not wanting to engage on a level where they'd hear about those connections. Or not at all!

Void is an adult old enough to remember cassette tapes and how his walkman would chew his up. While he has roleplayed for nearly two decades, this has mostly made him unable to justify how often he accidentally chuckles twice in one emote.
